Connecticut CTDPA — Consumer Data Privacy & AI Profiling
Connecticut's privacy law has been in effect since 2023 and requires data protection assessments for profiling, targeted advertising, and sensitive data processing. If you have Connecticut customers and meet the data thresholds, this package covers your assessment obligations.
Penalties for Non-Compliance
Connecticut Attorney General exclusive enforcement (§ 42-525(a)). No private right of action. Mandatory 60-day cure period expired December 31, 2024; AG has enforcement discretion after that date. Civil penalties up to $5,000 per violation under CUTPA (§ 42-110o).

Who Must Comply
Persons doing business in CT or targeting CT residents that (1) process personal data of 100,000+ consumers (excluding payment-only transactions)/year OR (2) derive 25%+ revenue from data sales and process data of 25,000+ consumers.
