Penalties assessed per violation and per affected person. Imposed by the Illinois Human Rights Commission per 775 ILCS 5/8A-104(K) (as amended by P.A. 104-0425). IDHR investigates charges. Private civil action with uncapped actual damages and attorney fees (775 ILCS 5/8A-104).
